Thinking the bronze mirror chromopop or the brown, non mirrored glass techlite lenses. All are polarized, just not sure if the chromopop is a must, or if the techlite glass lenses have more clarity.

After a short amount of time, the finish on the glasses started to disappear. Not really peeling off, but looked like it had just flaked off every time I cleaned them. I know two other people with exact same issue.

The Chromapops just have a bit more contrast than the 580s. Smith claims they can separate the color distortion, allowing for better color separation.

I have both and bought the Smith because I was sick of the rubber falling off of the costas every 6-8 months. Theyre very close, but, 580G wins.

WEBMar 22, 2022 · I also find that the Green Mirror Costas were a bit darker than the Green Mirror Smiths - which was preferable on really bright days. Both are excellent lenses for sight fishing. If you need lowlight lenses, the Smith lowlight ignitors are really great, as are the Costa Sunrise Silver Mirrors.
