(Reuters) -The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will issue its second-highest level of travel notice for Rwanda, recommending people to avoid nonessential travel due to the Marburg disease outbreak in the east African country, the U.S. government said on Monday.

U.S. health officials announced Monday that all passengers flying from Rwanda to the United States will soon be screened for the Ebola-like Marburg virus.

The steps are part of a broader US response, which has included assistance from the CDC's office in Rwanda and support for vaccination.
