Less than 10 days after Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida, the state is now bracing for another potential storm brewing in the Gulf of Mexico.

The hurricane center is tracking Tropical Depression 14 in the Gulf which could be major hurricane when it reaches Florida. Next named storm: Milton.

A new tropical threat has emerged in the Gulf of Mexico as Tropical Depression Fourteen has formed and is expected to become a hurricane by Monday. It could reach major hurricane status before making landfall on the west coast of Florida as early as Wednesday morning.
