JACKSON, Miss. — A couple of little birdies — one to force a playoff and another to win — told Kevin Yu he’d earned the victory at the Sanderson Farms Championship on Sunday, his first PGA Tour triumph. For the third year in a row, and fourth time in six years, 72 holes weren’t enough to decide the tournament at The Country Club of Jackson.

Unlikely because it appeared Keith Mitchell was headed for victory. Yu, however, birdied the last from 15 feet and Mitchell three-jacked it in the final group, setting up the playoff with Hossler that Yu won when he staked an iron from 171 yards to six feet and made the putt.
