South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol arrived at the Malacañang Palace on Monday morning as part of his state visit to the Philippines.

SEOUL (Reuters) - South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba will hold a meeting on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit which will be hosted by Laos next week, the Yonhap news agency reported, citing Yoon's office.

South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol will make a three-day state visit to Singapore from Oct 7 at the invitation of President Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol arrived in Malacañang on Monday. He was greeted and welcomed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. Yoon is in the country for a state visit where he is expected to discuss with Marcos how to enhance the bilateral relations between South Korea and the Philippines.

Yoon and Marcos will meet at the Malacañan Palace on Monday morning for a bilateral meeting. The South Korean president will be given an arrival honors ceremony at the Kalayaan Grounds inside the Palace before their close-in meeting.

SEOUL: President Yoon Suk Yeol on Sunday (Oct 6) embarked on a state visit to the Philippines, as part of a weeklong trip to three Southeast Asian countries on the occasion of the Asean summit later this week.
